Volunteer

Any volunteers who will be interacting with students and staff on a semi-regular basis or more will be required to completed California Mandated Reporter Training.

Once the Safety Portal appears on your screen, click the module labeled "Staff/Volunteer Training." This will direct you to the login page, where you'll be prompted to create your own account. If this is your first time logging in, please refer to the screenshots below.

Any volunteers who will be interacting with students and staff on a semi-regular basis or more will be required to submit either of the following methods of TB (Tuberculosis) clearance:

1. Proof of a negative TB skin or blood test
    
2. A TB Risk Assessment Questionnaire filled out by your doctor

All Tier 3 volunteers must complete a background check via fingerprinting prior to participating in any Tier 3 volunteering activities.

Fingerprinting is provided on an as-needed basis. When a field trip or event requires Tier 3 Volunteers, school staff will collect the necessary information from interested volunteers, who will then receive further instructions regarding fingerprinting at that time.

If a field trip or event requires volunteer drivers, Tier 3 Volunteers may assist by providing student transportation.

To be eligible to transport non-related students to school events, Tier 3 Volunteers must submit the following in addition to their other requirements: a completed Form D Waiver of Claim, a current copy of their insurance declaration page, and a copy of their valid Driver's License. Form D outlines the required insurance coverage limits and includes a certification acknowledgement to be signed by the volunteer.
